Guild of Service - Bombay
Guild of Service Bombay was founded and established by Ms. Freiny & Mr. Burjor Paymaster (ICS – Retd. Chief Secretary, Government of Bombay). Their vision was to take care of underprivileged children.
Mr. & Mrs. Burjor Paymaster set up Family Home in 1973 which was managed by Guild of Service, Bombay and occupied Eight rooms on the ground floor of the B.D.D. Chawl in Naigaon, of the Naigaum Social Service Society.

We run a shelter home for Twenty boys (Licensed Capacity) between the age group of six to twelve years. These children under our care are referred by District Women & Child Welfare Department.
Education forms the foundation of our efforts to empower the children. Formal education opportunities are provided in a private school ensuring that the children receive quality schooling and have access to educational resources. Dedicated teachers in the school facilitate learning and academic support.
We understand the importance of cultivating a love for reading and enhancing literacy skills. Hence, we have an indoor library. The children have access to books suitable for their age, allowing them to explore various subjects and expand their knowledge.
We try to nurture the artistic talents and creative expressions of the children by way of dance and cultural activities. This helps children to enhance their confidence. Dance and cultural events, helps in appreciation of diverse cultures and traditions.
To broaden the children’s horizons and provide them with experimental learning opportunities, educational and fun trips are organised from time to time. The outing includes trip to Museums, Parks, Historical sites. Such trips not only facilitate learning outside classroom but also create lasting memories.
The health and wellbeing of the children are of paramount importance. We ensure Regular medical check-ups, vaccinations, and necessary healthcare interventions from time to time.
Fostering sense of joy, togetherness and cultural understating amongst children is achieved through Celebrations of Festivals. Festivals of different religions and communities are celebrated allowing the children to learn various traditions and practices. These celebrations help in creating harmonious and inclusive environment.
At Family Home, we are committed to providing a holistic and enriching environment for children in need. Beyond education focus is on Physical Fitness, Cultural enrichment, healthcare and celebrating festivals ensure that the children experience a well-rounded childhood.
Through these activities we strive to empower children to lead fulfilling lives and become responsible, confident individuals in the society.
